What is a Doodlestein?
Oscar Von Doodlestein is a very busy, little dog who seems to like quilts.
Doodlestein Patterns are custom quilt patterns created by Debbie Henderson of
Celina, Texas and Anne Kusilek of Prairie Farm, Wisconsin. Both Debbie and Anne
are award winning quilters who are now working cooperatively to share some of
their beautiful designs with you.
Debbie and Anne met through
TreadleOn, an
online club for antique sewing machine quilters. They met in 2001 and have
become best friends. Working together to start a pattern company seemed like a
good idea and now they can visit each other more than once a year!
Preparing patterns for publication is a time consuming task because each pattern
must be written; then revised, several times. For the revision process to be
completed effectively the pattern's instructions must be followed, which means
making the quilt! It's fun, but the patterns will not be available for awhile.
